This is a great option for a Short Break from Bradford on Avon. The Kennet and Avon takes you out of the gorgeous town of Bradford-on-Avon and right into the Avon valley. Thick woods, open countryside, the beautiful aqueducts at Dundas and Avon Cliffs and a couple of swing bridges keep the cruise both interesting and full of nice vistas. On the way, there is a pub at Avon Cliffs and a cafe at Dundas aqueduct. Once in Bath, there is so much to do, such as strolling along the Royal Crescent, marvel at the Georgian architecture and climb the abbey tower. For everyone who wants to take a dip, Thermae Bath Spa is the only place these days to try a swim in the famous thermal water of Bath. It's time to turn the boat around now and retrace the journey back to Bradford-on-Avon. There is only 1 lock each way, so a great way to enjoy the canals without too much work.
