Cruising Hours: This route consists of 74.717 miles, 128 locks and 2 tunnels. Which will take 7 days, 6 hours and 19 minutes when travelling for 7 hours per day at our default speeds.
One of the longest routes, this route to Newbury, one of the two largest towns in the Kennet Valley, is best for a 2-week hire. This journey includes the famous Caen Hill Locks, Honey Street with its cafe, shop, boatyard and pub, and the gorgeous Vale of Pewsey. A stop at Crofton Pumping Station is also an absolute must. Carry on towards Hungerford, which is great for stocking up your supplies. Soon you’ll reach your turning point in Newbury. Highlights include the leafy Victoria Park with its bandstand and boating lake and Newbury Wharf.
