A great option for a weeklong hire, a trip to Crofton Pumping Station takes in a few great highlights. The first is undoubtedly the Caen Hill Locks. This famous canal attraction is one of the “Wonders of the Waterways”. Once you have tackled 29 locks, it’s time for a breather. Luckily, there is a cafe right at the top of the lock flight. The canal now meanders through pretty countryside until it reaches Honeystreet, with a pub, boatyard, cafe and shop right at the canalfront. Afterwards, this route takes you through more of the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside until you eventually arrive at the turning point for this journey, Crofton Pumping Station.
