You can head along the Leeds & Liverpool canal towards Skipton & tackle the famous Bingley Five Rise or down the Aire and Calder Navigation to Hebden Bridge of Sheffield.

We have one hire bases in Yorkshire from which you could enjoy a cruise along multiple waterways in Yorkshire including the Leeds & Liverpool Canal, Aire and Calder Navigation, Calder and Hebble Navigation and Selby Canal. Our Leeds base is based near the Leeds end of the Leeds & Liverpool canal just a short distance away from the Aire and Calder Navigation.
On a short-break hire you can head along the Leeds & Liverpool Canal heading to Apperley Bridge over 3 nights or to Saltaire over 4 nights. Alternatively you can head onto the Aire and Calder Navigation, a lock light river section and several electric locks, which takes a big chunk of the lock-wheeling off your shoulders, perhaps reaching Horbury Bridge.
Over a week there are a few options to choose from, you can head up the Leeds & Liverpool to either Kildwick or Skipton. Another popular option is the Head along the Aire and Calder and then Calder and Hebble to Sowerby Bridge.
There are some options for ring routes that start in Yorkshire, these are the Northern Pennine Ring and the Outer Pennine Ring. Both are adventures trips that will take at-least 3 weeks to complete.
